Air Charter Service has announced the appointment of Neil Backhouse as the new Director of Empyrean, the company’s Jet Card division.

Neil will be heading up a global team aiming to push ACS’s Jet Card products from the company’s UK headquarters, including the flagship card, The Lindbergh Card. Andy Christie, Group Private Jet Director of ACS, commented: “Neil brings with him a wealth of experience in aviation over the past 17 years, working in many sectors of the industry.  He has dealt with VVIPs and high net worth individuals over the past few years, so is ideally suited to heading up the global team of Empyrean managers across our worldwide network.”

Neil Backhouse added: “Because there are no aircraft restrictions and no regional boundaries, we believe that The Lindbergh Card is the most flexible jet card in the world and I am very excited about taking the helm. I already have some great ideas going forward and am talking to our charter experts around the world in how best to expand our presence in each of those markets.”

Backhouse joined ACS in March of this year and sales are up around 15% in that time.
